Hybrid working to become the new norm?

PCB

Throughout the recent pandemic lockdown many staff have enjoyed working from home and for many the return to the office will be welcome, but for many a new form of hybrid working will become the new norm.

Hybrid working has been forecast for many years, but the pandemic has most likely advanced plans by up to ten years, with few businesses actually planning. This leaves gaps in the property and office strategy. Some businesses are taking advantage of reduced footfall in the office space by consolidating and reducing their property portfolio. Others are playing the long game, or simply don’t know what to do. How will the staff react, will we face another enforced period of home working, do they really need all those expensive offices.

Whether you are mothballing office space, consolidating, or disposing of premises remember to consider the security implications. Empty or underused buildings create risk, and opportunity for thieves and vandals. If you haven’t yet reviewed your security arrangements, then it’s time you contacted APS for an independent security review.
